Dashboard Descriptions

The Retention Dashboard includes three dashboards:

Retention Dashboard

(1) Retention & Graduation

  • Retention and graduation statistics for selected First-time Full-time (FTFT) undergraduates by cohort. Filter by Cohort and School/College at Matriculation, Special Population, Available Breakdowns (Department, Program, Plan, Gender, Ethnicity), Outcomes (e.g., Enrolled Count, Annual Retention Rate).

(2) Time to Degree

  • Degree Recipients include all students who were awarded a Syracuse University bachelors’s degree at any time after matriculation, including those whose degree was not included in official 4, 5, or 6-year IPEDS rates. Average Elapsed Years is based on the duration between the first day of each recipient’s matriculation term and the last day of the term in which their first SU baccalaureate was awarded. Filter by Cohort and School/College at Matriculation, Special Population, Available Breakdowns (Department, Program, Plan, Gender, Ethnicity).

(3) Retention & Graduation College/SU

Filter by Cohort and School/College at Matriculation, Special Population, Available Breakdowns (Department, Program, Plan, Gender, Ethnicity), Outcomes (e.g., Enrolled Count, Annual Retention Rate).

The Program Review Dashboard is filtered by department and includes four dashboards:

Program Review

(1) Active Plans

  • List of all plans for which there is active class enrollment at fall census.

(2) Classes

  • List of all courses taught in the department during the past academic year, along with counts for the number students enrolled in each semester and the number of instructors for the full academic year.

(3) Faculty

  • List of all instructors for courses taught in the department for the terms shown, along with counts for the number of courses taught in each term. Courses are defined as lectures and sections only. Labs are not counted as separate courses. Data about faculty are pulled at fall census.

Headcount or credits attempted can be displayed at higher levels of aggregation by removing items from the Breakdown menu. Students can be enrolled in multiple plans. Filter by Table Type, Term, Units, Breakdown.
